The Mass Choir opens our **Pentecost Sunday** celebration with *Fill Me* by I.H.P.C.C., inviting us into a worship experience centered on the power, presence, and promise of the Holy Spirit. Through a special Pentecost Litany led by Minister Phillip L. Anderson, we remember the day when the Spirit descended like wind and fire, empowering ordinary people to speak a message of hope that crossed every boundary of language, culture, and nation. As followers of Christ, we are reminded that Pentecost is more than a moment in history—it is a call to live boldly, love generously, welcome the stranger, and bear witness to what God is still doing in the world today.
We continue in worship with the hymn *Since Jesus Came Into My Heart* (#499), followed by congregational prayer led by Minister Suzette Spann-Scarborough. The choir will minister through *Manifest* by Christopher Ervin & Abraham’s Descendants, celebrating the Spirit’s active work among God’s people. Sis. Alecia Mason will share Life at First Baptist, followed by Pastoral Emphasis from Rev. Dr. Rashad Raymond Moore. We’ll continue our worship through the Ministry of Giving—please use the link in the description to give online.
The Scripture reading from **John 20:19–23 (NRSV)** reminds us of Christ breathing peace and purpose into His disciples as He sent them into the world. Our hearts will be prepared through the meditation *Sweet, Sweet Spirit* by Ron Carter & Ricky Dillard before Rev. Moore delivers the sermon and invitation, **“Another Way to Pentecost.”** Together, we will reflect on what it means to be a Spirit-filled people in a divided world and how God continues to call us into lives of courage, compassion, and faithful witness.
The service concludes with the Benediction led by Rev. Moore. Wherever you are on your journey of faith, take your next most faithful step. Become a member of First Baptist Church of Crown Heights today.
