Join us for worship at the First Baptist Church of Crown Heights on this Heart Health Sunday, as we give thanks for God’s sustaining grace and reflect on the sacred calling to care for the bodies God has entrusted to us. The service opens with the Gospel Ensemble ministering I Made It Over by Rev. Timothy Wright, a powerful testimony of perseverance and gratitude. Minister Phillip Anderson will lead the Call to Worship, reminding us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit and that faithful stewardship includes caring for our physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
We will lift our voices in the Morning Hymn Come Unto Me by Charles Price Jones, followed by the Health & Wellness Litany (#90) led by Rev. Dr. Christine Caton. Minister Suzette Spann-Scarborough will guide us in congregational prayer, and the choir will offer a moving choral response with Through It All by Andraé Crouch. Sis. Alecia Mason will share Life at First Baptist, followed by Pastoral Emphasis from Rev. Dr. Rashad Raymond Moore. We’ll continue worship through the Ministry of Giving—please use the link in the description to give online.
The Scripture reading from I Samuel 17:14–23; 28–31 (Good News Translation) will prepare our hearts for meditation with Lord, Do It by Rev. James Cleveland. Rev. Moore will then deliver the sermon and invitation, “The Body Keeps the Score,” offering a timely word on how faith, stress, struggle, and healing are carried not only in our spirits, but within our very bodies.
Come worship with us as we honor God with our praise, our prayers, and our whole selves. The service concludes with the Benediction led by Rev. Moore, sending us forth strengthened for the journey ahead. #myfbcch #HeartHealthSunday #SundayWorship #BrooklynChurch #FaithAndWellness
