Join us for worship on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at the First Baptist Church of Crown Heights as we continue our **Black History Month** celebration—honoring faith, resilience, and the enduring presence of God in our story. The service opens with the Unique David Chavis Male Chorus offering Trouble in My Way by The Soul Seekers, reminding us that even in struggle, God has been our help and our hope. Our Call to Worship reflects on the legacy of Black faith, from hush harbors to freedom marches, affirming that the same God who sustained our ancestors is sustaining us still and calling us to courageous, faithful action today.
We will sing the Morning Hymn *Deeper, Deeper* (#336), followed by congregational prayer and a powerful choral response, *Deep River*, arranged by Moses Hogan and rendered by Daniel King. Our Dance Ministry will minister through movement with *Chinedum* by Mercy Chinwo, celebrating the goodness and faithfulness of God. Sis. Alecia Mason will share Life at First Baptist, followed by Pastoral Emphasis from Rev. Dr. Rashad Raymond Moore. The Scripture reading from *1 Samuel 17:32–34; 48–50 (Common English Bible)* will prepare our hearts for meditation with *When We All Get to Heaven* by Richard Smallwood. Rev. Dr. Rashad Raymond Moore will then deliver the sermon and invitation, calling us to face today’s giants with faith, wisdom, and trust in the God who goes before us. The service will conclude with the Benediction, sending us forth strengthened by our history and guided toward God’s future.
