Description:
Activate your students to become environmental leaders! The first session in a series of interactive workshops will guide you through the entire process of conducting an eco-audit and leading students in developing grant-funded sustainability projects. You will learn how to transform your classroom into a laboratory for eco-literacy and hands-on learning, all while gaining practical experience in the grant application process.
In this workshop series, you’ll learn how to conduct an eco-audit and apply for classroom grants from our Student Innovation Fund. We will also explore design studios and utilize the human-centered design process to develop impactful projects for your students, ensuring that the solutions they create are innovative, meaningful, and tailored to real community needs.

Session 3: Sharing and Grant Application Exploration 12/4– Share project ideas, receive feedback, and explore the detailed steps of the grant application process.
Previous Sessions
Session 1: Introduction to EcoRise and Eco-Audits – Learn about EcoRise, Design Studios, and the basics of eco-audits, and perform your own audit.
Session 2: Brainstorming and Project Building 11/20– Using lessons from Design Studios, work collaboratively to brainstorm and build project ideas based on eco-audit findings.
The first 10 teachers to register and attend at least 2 sessions, and complete a short post-workshop survey will receive a $50 gift card.
